I’m Neil Crisp, a video editor, cinematographer, photographer, audio engineer, content creator, and media producer based between Tonga and Utah. I’m the founder of Tuhulu Media, a media production company focused on video production, photography, audio recording, music production, translation media, localization workflows, and story-driven content for organizations, artists, communities, and creative projects.
My work has grown out of more than 15 years of hands-on experience in media production. I’ve worked across documentary, commercial, faith-based, cultural, music, nonprofit, social media, and film-related projects, often handling multiple parts of the production process from planning and filming to editing, audio, subtitles, and final delivery. I enjoy projects that involve real people, meaningful stories, culture, faith, family, music, and community.
Through Tuhulu Media, I provide full-service video production, including documentary-style filming, interviews, cinematography, drone filming, livestream support, multi-camera recording, editing, color correction, sound design, captions, SRT subtitles, and platform-ready delivery for web, social media, organizations, and film projects. I also provide photography services for productions, events, portraits, organizations, families, artists, and community projects.
Audio has always been a major part of my work. I have experience in voice-over recording, narration, dialogue editing, translation audio, music recording, mixing, mastering, sound cleanup, and audio post-production. My studio includes a dedicated recording booth and professional microphones, allowing me to record voice talent, music, and spoken-word projects with a clean, polished sound.
Since 2018, I have worked as a contractor with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on Tongan-language audio translation, video, photography, and localization projects. This work has involved collaboration with translators, language coaches, voice talent, local translation teams, and Church production contacts to create media that is clear, accurate, culturally respectful, and ready for professional use.
I have also contributed to international film and documentary productions through cinematography, drone filming, and production support in Tonga. My experience includes working with documentary crews, production teams, community members, and local talent to help capture authentic Pacific Island stories and support productions on location. In addition to client and production work, I create content under the "Neil Kulisi" brand, producing Tongan-language and Pacific Island-centered videos that connect wit
h audiences in Tonga, the United States, New Zealand, Australia, and throughout the Tongan diaspora. This creator experience has helped me develop a strong understanding of audience connection, short-form storytelling, pacing, humor, culture, and platform-specific content.
I am fluent in both English and Tongan, and my life and work in Tonga have deeply shaped the way I approach media. I understand the importance of cultural context, language, trust, and authenticity when telling stories, especially across communities and cultures. Whether I’m editing a documentary, filming interviews, recording translation audio, capturing photos, producing music, or helping an organization communicate its message, my goal is to create media that feels honest, polished, emotionally connected, and meaningful.
